We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Hemp Carbon Standard and our dedicated project proponents. After an extensive evaluation process, Control Union has officially verified our projects carried out in 2023, using the innovative Carbon Space’s Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE) methodology.
This verification marks a pivotal moment for HCS and highlights our commitment to promoting regenerative hemp farming. The verification process, detailed in the ClimaFi / Hemp Carbon Standard Verification Report, assessed our projects for their accuracy and reliability in measuring carbon flux. Thanks to the groundbreaking use of Carbon Space Technology Version 1.0, which harnesses remote sensing technology and machine learning algorithms, we’ve achieved an accurate account of carbon emissions and sequestrations.
We are proud to say that carbon certificates will be issued immediately to the project proponents, a testament to their hard work and dedication to sustainable practices. This achievement underscores the potential of industrial hemp farming in the global effort to mitigate climate change and promote a healthier planet.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the team at Control Union, Carbon Space, and especially to our farmers and processors across the globe, whose relentless efforts made this possible. This verification is not just a win for HCS but a win for the planet.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive forward in our mission to incentivize regenerative hemp farming and contribute to a sustainable future.
Hemp Carbon Standard is being represented by Hempalta at this years NOCO Hemp Expo so we look forward to meeting you there.
